Fluxx Blanxx thinxx
Thank you to
clarestar and
bez_loves_pie for giving me several packs of Fluxx Blanxx* yesterday! :o)
Now what I need to do is think ofsilly cunning ideas to put on them. I'm open to suggestions, so please comment if you've got any ideas!
I've already decided that I'm definitely copying these ones that are on the Fluxx website, because they're ace:
Final play random - The final card you play must be chosen at random from your hand by the player on your left. Ignore this rule if, at the start of your turn, the current Rule cards allow you to play only one card.
Recycling - Once per turn, you may discard a Keeper you have on the table and Draw 3 extra cards.
Pandora's Box - Draw a card. If it's a New Rule, put the card into play; if not, discard it. Keep doing this until you have played 3 New Rule cards.
Zap-A-Card - Choose any card in play anywhere on the table (except for the Basic Rules) and add it to your hand.
Time Vortex - Gather up the cards from everyone's hands, shuffle them up (without looking), and deal them out evenly, starting with yourself.
I've also thought up these, which I might use:
Topsy Turvy - Draw Rule cards become Play Rule cards and vice versa. For example, if the current rules are draw 2, play 3, this becomes draw 3, play 2.
X=X-1 - Any time a numeral other than zero is seen on another card, subtract one from that numeral. For example, 2 becomes 1, while two remains two. This does not affect the Basic Rules.
Double Trouble - Any time a numeral is seen on another card, double that numeral. This rule applies to each numeral before any other rules that add to or subtract from that numeral.**
Lower Limits - If there are any Hand Limits or Keeper Limits in play, players can only win if they have EXACTLY the number of cards in their hand and/or Keepers in play specified by the limit(s), as well as meeting the conditions of the current Goal.
Everybody Plays 1 - Each player (excluding yourself) must immediately choose 1 card from their hand and play it, starting with the player on your left. If a player has no cards in their hand, they must draw 1 card and immediately play it.
The Star
The Stick
The Egg
The Ham
Night Sky - The player who has both the Moon and the Star on the table wins.
Fame and Fortune - The player who has both the Star and Money on the table wins.
Death Star - The player who has both Death and the Star on the table wins, but only if there is no Moon on the table.
Star-Crossed Lovers - If one player has Love on the table and another player has the Star on the table, both players win.
Magic Wand - The player who has both the Star and the Stick on the table wins.
The Moon on a Stick - The player who has both the Moon and the Stick on the table wins.
Sticky Chocolate - The player who has both the Stick and Chocolate on the table wins.
Dairy Goods - The player who has both Milk and the Egg on the table wins.
Fried Egg - The player who has both the Sun and the Egg on the table wins.
Soldiers - The player who has both the Egg and Bread on the table wins.
Omelette - The player who has both the Ham and the Egg on the table wins.
Ham sandwich - The player who has both the Ham and Bread on the table wins.
Pig Head - The player who has both the Ham and the Brain on the table wins.
Time War - The player who has both Time and War on the table wins.
Rest in Peace - The player who has both Death and Peace on the table wins.
Love Rocket - Hmmm, perhaps not... ;o)
Can you think of any more good ones?
* Original packs with 2 New Rule cards, 2 Action cards, 3 Keepers, 5 Goals and no Creepers, which fits my 3.0 edition of Fluxx
** This one could end up with games that are a bit madder than usual! Draw 11, Play 9 anyone?
*** Incidentally I noticed, when looking through the current Goals, that Sleep, Dreams, Money and Time form a complete subset of Keepers. They only form Goals with each other, and never with any of the other Keepers. How odd.
