There's also the fact that the giant humanoid alien should have died in the crash and still be sitting in his pilot seat rather than getting up and chasing the heroine of the film only to die elsewhere. And what was going on with that guy at the beginning, the one who appears to have chosen a most grim way to commit suicide? Did we get a follow up? No!

And as I've said on FB, the Weyland Corporation really does employ some utter morons. Setting foot on an alien world for the first time and assuming that because you're a scientific survey team will somehow mysteriously protect you from harm is insane. And the habit of whipping off ones space helmet at the first sign of oxygen without considering dangerous airborn pathogens is asking to die.
