Doctor Who evening: Round 9: Elevenses
Saturday 9th November, my place from 4:00pm
Time to get (almost) up-to-date this Saturday by spending an evening with the Doctor and the Ponds. Eleventh Doctor, eleven stories - including several mini-adventures you may not have seen. It's an ambitious schedule, so I'm actually going to try to start this one on time! ;o)

1) 4:00pm - The Eleventh Hour
The newly-regenerated Doctor crashes into the back garden of young Amelia Pond. There's a crack in her bedroom wall and a mysterious extra room in her house. The Doctor has just twenty minutes to save the world, but he's not at his best and things really aren't going his way.

2) 5:00pm - Meanwhile In The TARDIS
Two short extra scenes, in which Amy tries to come to terms with the Doctor's wooden spaceship, his bow tie ... and his previous travelling companions.

3) 5:10pm - The Pandorica Opens / The Big Bang
The Doctor's friends unite to warn him that the Pandorica is opening, but his enemies have united too. During a last stand at Stonehenge, the Doctor gives a speech so powerful that 2,000 years later an alt rock band from South Yorkshire will take their name from it. The last hope for all of reality is a little girl who still believes in stars, and her imaginary friend. He wears a fez now. Fezzes are cool.

4) 6:50pm - Space / Time
The TARDIS accidentally gets turned inside-out in this 2011 Comic Relief sketch. Everything goes a bit wibbly-wobbly, spacey-wacey. Not to mention timey-wimey. Amy learns that there are times when she really should wear trousers.

5) 7:00pm - The Doctor's Wife
No, not that wife. By following a Time Lord distress signal into a bubble universe, the Doctor puts Amy, Rory and his beloved TARDIS in grave danger. But there's life in the old girl yet.

6) 7:45pm - Bad Night / Good Night
Amy can't sleep. There's something important she needs to talk to the Doctor about. But he is more concerned with saving the Commonwealth. And a goldfish.

7:55pm - Break for takeaway

7) 8:30pm - A Good Man Goes To War / Let's Kill Hitler
Amy has been kidnapped by the Silence, who want her newborn baby. The Doctor assembles an army to face the battle of Demon's Run. (Cue the first appearance of Madame Vastra, Jenny and a disgraced Sontaran named Strax.) The aftermath of the battle takes the Doctor to 1930s Berlin, bringing him face-to-face with the greatest war criminal in the history of the universe. And Hitler.

8) 10:00pm - First Night / Last Night
The Doctor gets ready for his first date with River Song, but things are never straightforward where River is concerned. Especially when there's three of her. The mind races!

9) 10:10pm - Pond Life
Everyday life with the Ponds is not like other people's everyday lives.

10) 10:15pm - Asylum Of The Daleks
Kidnapped by his oldest foe, the Doctor is forced on an impossible mission - to a place even the Daleks are too terrified to enter. Fortunately he encounters an unexpected ally for the first time. She's getting to be a dab hand at making soufflés.

11) 11:00pm - The Angels Take Manhatten
The Doctor's heartbreaking farewell to Amy and Rory. It's a race against time through the streets of Manhatten. New York's statues are coming to life around them. Whatever you do, don't blink...

All of that may be a little too ambitious, but we can play it by ear and drop an episode or two if we need to. We'll see how it goes. Hope to see you here! :o)

P.S. - Don't worry about The Name Of The Doctor not being in the line-up. We'll be watching that as a warm-up for The Day Of The Doctor on the 23rd!
