I'm confused about the transition period. From what I've heard, it's there to give us 2 years to figure out the details of our post-Brexit relationship with the EU. On the other hand, I thought that was what the article 50 2 year period - i.e. the last 2 years - was for. So, uh, how is this upcoming 2 year transition period different from the last one?
