In danger of falling off the edge of the sofa

Guess I must have given them the kiss of death :o(

I said I'd actually start properly watching the World Cup if England managed to get through to the quarter finals. And we did. And, oh lord, you can tell we're in trouble when everyone starts wishing for penalty shootouts!

I fully expect gloating now from a bunch of miserable spoilsports, but I shall do my best to ignore it. But don't let it be said that England were useless and deserved to lose - They put up an impressive fight with only ten men in the second half and in extra time. Very tense stuff.

Speaking of very tense stuff, I didn't get to move any further away from the edge of the sofa for good old Doctor Who afterwards. Okay, it was only the set-up episode (Note to RTD: If you're going to take a whole episode to build the tension, that's yet another good argument for letting stories run on for more than two parts!), but it was very well executed.

And yay! I was right! Although there does only seem to be three of them, which doesn't really seem very fair when faced with a gajillion Cybermen. Ah well, we shall see next week :o)

Now, when does Torchwood start?

Just hope these are *proper* Daleks - not the crap ones from series one! Daleks should be SCARY - not mad as a bag of badgers! Yay! Daleks!!!

The current theory in my head is that these are proper Daleks, who were put into the void ship before the Time War (because it would be immune to the effects), as a contingency plan in case they lost.
