Rule Britannia?

Today marks the anniversary of Scotland signing the Act of Union and, in May this year, the UK will be 300 years old. So are there going to be loads of big celebrations? Nope, thought not.

I've indicated that I don't think we need a separate English parliament, but I do think the Scottish and Welsh ones should stay - I'd like to add one proviso though. The scope of the devolved parliaments covers a few specific areas - taxes etc - and I don't think that Scottish or Welsh MPs should be able to vote on these areas for England (I can't remember if they can or not, so am assuming they can, as I heard in a rabid rant the other day...).
