As you might've guessed from my post, my Dad's a physics teacher. He says exactly the same thing about the new curriculum. The new chemistry syllabus is just as bad too, apparently.

If you haven't done so already, you really should send a copy of that letter to your MP. You'll probably just get some presumptuous rubbish back to say the new curriculum is going to encourage a load of slackers with no interest or aptitude for science more students to take up the subject, but at least your letter will be read and considered by someone in DfES (or whatever they're calling it this week). I'd be interested to see what reply you'd get...
