They said it was going to be a really scary episode, but they didn't say why.
The Doctor was way, way more terrifying than any water zombies......

"Spoilers"
I get the impression that it isn't so long after Planet of the Dead but River is a pretty huge loose thread to leave hanging, especially as she knows him in his tenth incarnation.
On the other hand, his near slip into 'masterhood' at the end of this episode would suggest his 'getting old' that River refers to when she says "I've never seen you so young".
A nice touch with the Daleks also being able to see fixed moments in time, with the Dalek leaving Adelaide alone.

Tennent is the tenth isn't he?
If she didn't meet him as tenth (Tennant) until the library then her reaction would probably have been a fair bit different i.e. 'oh you've not met me yet, bugger' kind of way, but it took her a while to realise that he was younger than she was expecting.
If she met him from eleventh, onwards, he would probably have shown her pictures of his previous incarnations, in addition to revealing his name, meaning that her realization that he didn't know her would have come a bit swifter/instantanously.
Re: "Spoilers"
IIRC, River recognised him from his eyes, implying that she might not have seen that incarnation before. She wouldn't necessarily know that Tennant was a version before the Doctor(s) she knew, rather than in-between or after.
But yes, with no companions around at the moment, there's plenty of scope for him to have met River between episodes. I'm not sure we're actually going to see her again on screen. She may have been a one-story character set up just to tease us. Then again, Steve Moffat may have something planned - he did say he'd worked out exactly what the Doctor and River's relationship was (and it's something more than husband and wife)...
I was slightly puzzled that the Daleks would leave fixed moments in time alone whilst in the process of trying to destroy the entire universe. Seems a bit contradictory.

So chances are we'll see her on screen again soon.
