I wish the press would stop referring to 'voter apathy' like people can't be bothered getting off the sofa. While I'm sure it is the case for some people, for many, not voting is their protest - it's just one that is (proabaly deliberately) misunderstood as it can be dismissed as laziness/apathy. The Conservatives defending the low turn out and claiming people have never had it so good (more or less) in the interview this morning just reinforced my view that some politicians are sticking their fingers in their ears/in the air and don't care about understanding low turn out /spolit ballots or doing anything about it.
