what you all seem to have missed is that the lack of communication to voters is
a) a money saving device - we are in a recession
b) a cunning way to make voting seem like you are 'in the know' - soon to be replaced with word-of-mouth communications of WHEN voting day is
c) because the people we vote for are fundamentally a bit shite

and I am tempted to add
d) all of the above [I have had some guiness to drink you know!] :)
