Operation: Bedlam was a success

It was my niece's 3rd birthday party yesterday, and my sister had gone for an ambitious plan - hiring out a village hall for a party of epic proportions, with 24 kids invited, masses of party food, ride-on bike things, and a bouncy castle with a slide.
A bouncy castle with a SLIDE! :o)
It was a bit of a shame when all the other kids started turning up and we had to stop playing on it ;o)
Family were all on duty, and I was no exception. So I was heavily involved in setting things up, serving out food and drinks (mostly to lots of grateful parents!), and keeping things running smoothly. Which they pretty much did. There were no major disasters and we all survived with no worse than minor injuries.
Today was a bit more chilled - just a family day at home doing birthday presents. Back up to Sheffield tomorrow, hopefully in time for the picnic. Then off again in a couple of days to Wales :o)
