Friday - Night out with work to celebrate a colleague's promotion. The difference in Wetherspoons since they made it non-smoking is amazing. I was actually able to enjoy myself and not end up with a smoke-induced headache! [just a slight alcohol-induced one instead ;o)]
Saturday - Did dull-but-necessary chores like shopping and cleaning the flat. Goblin-sat for the first time in the evening, and went round to
delanthear's party with her. The party was fun, and I was quite pleased that I managed to not make a complete mess of looking after teh Goblin [although she did show me up by being hot and waily just before
soul_rider turned up - Cheers for that :op].
Sunday - Lazy day, mostly spent watching DVDs. The racoons were a bit too weird for me [Yeah, I know. It's a Japanese animation - What was I expecting? But it was weird even by their standard!], though the flying pig was a great movie and I'm thoroughly glad that I bought it.
At various points this weekend, I've managed to get caught up in t'interweb discussions about Those Danish Cartoons. I have got this right, haven't I? A handful of newspapers publishes a few cartoons in poor taste, and instead of writing to the editors like any sane person would do, a whole bunch of nutters start inciting genocide and burning embassies because of it? Talk about overreaction! It's a good job Mary Whitehouse never took that approach...
