Nice weather for duck islands

I think I got even wetter on the way home today than I did going to the pub last Friday. At least this time I could get properly dried, into my dressing gown, and help myself to as much tea and chocolate as I liked :o)
Half the roads were closed and there was virtually no public transport. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Much as I love this city, it's absolutely rubbish when it comes to coping with any sort of weather.

Date: 2009-06-11 09:52 am (UTC)Graves Gallery of course leaked like a sieve- the huge Turner had to be moved AGAIN along with other paintings. The Council of course not understanding that the building needs massive maintainance and money spending on it- we've only been telling them this for 10 years, can't expect it to sink in yet I guess. They'll probably wait until the roof falls in and the gallery and library looses all its collections. that's fine then.
