Why?

I was walking through the Peace Gardens in town yesterday, on the way to the pub. You know how they spent god only knows how much time and effort pulling down the monstrosity that was the old town hall ("the eggbox")? Well, on my way through, I couldn't help but notice that someone now seems to be resurrecting almost an exact replica in its place.

What was the point of that, then?

I'd noticed that myself. The other day when I walked past it looked like the eggboxes but with the windows made flat.

Obviously the difference is that this is a swanky new development to replace the tired old 1960s/70s office buildings. Despite the fact that they both look identically f**king ugly.

p.s. I had a phone call from a fellow named Martin Flowers this afternoon. I told him what a nice chap you are.
