Continuity of the Daleks

Asylum of the Daleks was pretty good. A nice, creepy "Aliens" vibe and it certainly goes a long way to redeeming Steven Moffat's reputation after his last few episodes. I loved the Dalek / human zombies in the escape ship .
I've no objection to them bringing back the RTD-era (and better-looking) Dalek design, but how come there's a whole ship full of them? In the last Dalek story there were only five new-style Daleks left, and they exterminated the previous-style Daleks after deciding they were inferior. Also, wasn't Skaro supposed to have been destroyed? I don't mind the writers doing these things, but they need to at least add a couple of lines explaining the continuity. (I've got the same issue with the Cybermen - previously all trapped in a parallel dimension, now they seem to be all over the place.)
That's a minor gripe. Really the only other thing this episode needed was (oddly enough) more Daleks. After all the hype about "every Dalek ever" being in it, I kind of wanted to see the Special Weapons Dalek in action again ;o)
Next week: Dinosaurs! On a spaceship!
