Movie round-up of the year 2010
Dec. 23rd, 2010 01:28 pmMostly for my own record, here is the list of filums I've seen at the cinema in 2010, strictly in date order:
( There's 48 of them, which means I'm still getting my money's worth out of my Unlimited card )
I was going to do 2-3 line mini-reviews for each of them, but that seems like too much effort. Instead I'll just say that:

I was going to do 2-3 line mini-reviews for each of them, but that seems like too much effort. Instead I'll just say that:
- Most of the list I feel a bit meh about looking back. They were entertaining enough, and a reasonable way of passing a couple of hours, but there aren't many that I'd watch again. Last year was better overall.
- Iron Man 2 wasn't as good as it should have been. On the other hand, Knight and Day and The Other Guys were both much more fun than they had any right to be.
- The Losers was the film The A-Team should have been. Similarly, RED was the film The Expendables should have been.
- Tron Legacy does not disappoint, but it is basically more of the same with better graphics. It's pretty and shiny on the big screen in 3D, but probably not really worth watching at home. See it now if you're going to.
- My top films of the year (again in date order) are How To Train Your Dragon, Inception, Toy Story 3 and Scott Pilgrim. All of those are ace and you should see them if you haven't already.
