May the Fourth was with us...

Biggest geek news* of the week was the announcement of the original, unaltered Star Wars trilogy on DVD. Those of us bothered by such things now get back the cantina wolfman, the invisible wampa and the Ewok song. Oh yeah, and Han shooting first.
What with there having been about a gazillion changes to the films, even before the infamous Special Editions, this should be a real trip back in time. Star Wars without the "Episode IV: A New Hope" tag? Cool :o)
Not only that, but the new Lego game is out on the same day! (Methinks September could be expensive.) Mind you, the sight of Yoda's head on top of Leia's metal-bikini-clad body is just wrong on so many levels...
Also on the Star Wars front, I see Empire have posted new prequel reviews. WTF? What's the point? And what happened to that magazine that used to proudly shout, "Screw you, you miserable, cynical bastards! We think these films are fucking ace!" These new reviews just seem to be pandering to popular negativity. They should have stuck to their guns. Wimps.
Oh yeah, anyone wishing to buy me something suitably silly for my birthday could do a lot worse than these. The Vader and Luke ones are particularly good. This isn't a hint, but if you were trying to think of something to get me... 8o)
* i.e. - news no one but great big geeks cares about
