Not as easy as it used to be

I'm sure I detect the tide of opinion on Indiana Jones and the thingy of the Crystal wotsit going the same way as that of the Star Wars prequels - i.e. - initial reactions fairly positive, quickly turning to "Meh", and eventually hitting "It was Teh Shite! George Lucas must DIE!!!!1!!1138!!"
So, before it gets too late, let's do a quick poll. I might repeat this one in six months to a year's time, to see whether opinions have changed.

Date: 2008-07-09 08:28 pm (UTC)Fortunately the only change I spotted on the Indy DVDs was removing the Well of Souls reflection goof (http://indianajones.wikia.com/wiki/Raiders_of_the_Lost_Ark#Trivia_and_goofs). I don't have any truck with this "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark" retitling nonsense.
You're right about the more irritating bits of the Special Editions. It's a shame too, because the Greedo and Hayden Christensen stuff overshadows a lot of more subtle changes which are actually improvements - the new X-Wing/TIE shots in the Battle of Yavin, or Ian McDiarmid in Empire, for example.
I must get round to making that edited version of Episode I without the Midichlorians...
