Not at all. Hamilton was in fourth before the rain started again and looked comfortable to take the title. He didn't need to beat Vettel. Glock's "fading away" was the result of the same decision that put him ahead and Hamilton in sixth to begin with. McLaren (like most of the field) opted to pit for intermediate tyres, whilst Toyota gambled on staying out on slicks - a decision which gave them track position but cost both cars 20 seconds a lap.
Hamilton won his championship fair and square through his own ability and good McLaren teamwork. Though I wish he hadn't made it quite so nerve-racking for us!
